2010 Audi S5 Coupe

on

While the Audi S5 Cabriolet got itself a new supercharged V-6 engine, the 2010 Audi S5 Coupe retains the V-8 engine. If we are just to think about driving satisfaction and not be burdened by thoughts of doing our part to take better care of the world, I would be a hypocrite if I would not admit that driving the S5 Coupe was much more enjoyable. But then again, we have to start thinking of fuel economy.
The 2010 Audi S5 Coupe is offered at an MSRP of $ 52,400.00. Its 4.2 liter FSI DOHC 32-valve V8 engine offers 354 hp at 7000 rpm and torque of 325 lb-ft at 3500 rpm. Standard equipments include manual transmission, all-wheel drive, Bluetooth, iPod input, satellite radio, side/curtain airbags, stability control, and traction control. The navigation system and the Bang and Olufsen Sound System are optional features.
One of the strongest points of the S5 is its attractive cabin that exudes high-end appeal. Anyone who’s about to shell out at least $ 52,000.00 in a car would understandably include looks in the buying criteria. After all, such an amount should address specific performance and appearance preferences and I don’t think that’s asking too much from any car manufacturer. An Audi S5 Coupe has notable exterior features including Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime running, headlight washer, front fog lights, heated windshield washer nozzles, LED taillights, rear spoiler integrated into the trunk, aluminum doorsill inlays, tilting power sunroof, plus 19-inch wheels with five-double spoke. The remarkable looks of the 2010 Audi S5 Coupe just gives you enough reason to spend a bit more than you originally planned.
Audi appears to have taken the cue by providing a more user-friendly MMI although placements of certain control features need some getting used to. The BMW 335i Coupe is the most obvious rival of the Audi S5 Coupe, but its V-8 engine gives it an edge over the other’s turbo charged inline 6. In relative comparison, Audi S5 comes out as a less costly alternative to luxury coupes such as the BMW 6 Series.
If the 2010 Audi S5 Coupe eventually makes the switch to the super charged V-6 engine like its sibling, the S5 Cabriolet, this would probably be expected and might just be a matter of time or rollout. Let’s just wait and see how much such switch will translate to the price. Before I get lost in the engine’s magnificent sound, I do have to admit that the V-8 engine can be a little too much for the S5 Coupe as evidenced by its poor city gas mileage. The sporty, big wheels may add significant points on looks although the resulting low-profile of the 35-series tires fail to give sufficient cushion for sharp bumps. The 2010 Audi S5 Coupe however is every inch a worthy addition to Audi’s line.
