The Navara D22 is a small size pickup tuck that was made between the late 1990’s all the way up to 2004. The D22 is still being built but only on a limited scale. In order to purchase this 4×4 most people have to pre order it. The Navara D22 is known to be very good at 4 wheeling and can run quite well over rugged terrain.

The Nissan Navara has a very large fan following. The large fan following is due to the rugged look, that has changed much over the years. The latest styling change came in 2001. Nissan wanted to attract younger truck enthusiast with a bold new look. They realized that by making the truck more astatically pleasing this Navara 4X4 would pick up in sales.

The first series of D22’s had larger 3.2 liter Turbo Diesel engines. The second series has 3 available engine types. They are as follows:

2.4 liter, DOHC, 16V, 4 cylinder, producing 110kW @ 5600rpm and 208Nm @ 2600rpm. 2.5 liter, DOHC, 16V, 4 cylinder, producing 100kW @ 4000rpm and 304Nm @ 2000rpm. 3.0 liter, DOHC, 16V, 4 cylinder, producing 110kW @ 3400rpm and 314Nm @ 2000rpm.

The 2.5 liter Diesel engines are Turbo charged with intercooler, and the 3.0 liter is Turbo-charged but is not inter-cooled. The Nissan Navara Engine is known to be reliable just like most of the Nissan Engines out there. It is important to follow the manufactures suggested maintenance plan because these engines have to be properly taken care of if you want them to last a long time.

Because of the younger fan fair this 4×4 Truck has you are hard pressed to find one that has not been customized. Many of these Navara D22 pickups have been modified to fit their owners personality.
