Nissan Motor Company Limited or simply Nissan is a Japanese multinational automaker headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama. It was founded early in the year 1934. Nissan enjoys a starry reputation across the globe for creating truly innovative vehicles and service programs. It sells its cars under the Nissan, Infiniti, Datsun, and NISMO brands.

Nissan cars are excellent value cars giving a tough competition to others in the same segment.

Nissan came to India in 2005 in an alliance with Ashok Leyland producing light commercial vehicles. Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) is now a 100% subsidiary of Nissan Motor Company Limited ofJapan. It has a massive plant along with Renault at Oragadam in Chennai.

Nissan has an enticing fleet of high performance cars to its credit. Fairlady Z, Serena, Cedric, Liberty, Cefiro, Laurel, President, Bluebird, Presage, Presea, Terrano, Leopard and Avenirwere some of its well-known cars of the bygone era. Later came up cars like the Frontier, Titan, 350Z, Murano, Versa, Sentra, Inifiniti, Altima, Armada, Cube and the Roque. Nissan Sunny, Micra, Micra Active, Evalia and Terrano are some of the cars locally manufactured and sold in India. Nissan Teana seen here is being exported into the country. Nissan X-Trail and 370Z are out dated models and their production has been discontinued for now.

The 2014 Sunny has three trim levels namely XE, XL and XV with the XV having further two premium packs. XE, XL, XV and XV-S are the variants for Micra Active. Nissan Evalia is again available in four different variants i.e. XE, XE+, XL and XV options. Teana has only two variants – XL and XV.

Nissan cars optimize product development and deliver highly innovative technology. They are exceptionally safe owing to the V-platform. Nissan cars are never lacking where looks are concerned. Their interiors are spacious enough in additionto giving a plush feel. Nissan cars are available in attractive colour schemes. Their cars carry the internationally recognized “Nissan” signage which is a chrome circle with “Nissan€ inscribedacross the front.

Nissan has astutely focused on the safety parameters in its cars. Central door locking with keyless entry, child safety locks for the rear doors, powerful halogen headlamps for enhanced visibility, side and front impact beams, seat belts for added safety of the passengers, front wash and wiper for the windscreen are the practical features seen in its cars. Driver seat belt warning notification, door ajar warning indicator, a low fuel warning lamp and a key remove warning indicator underscore their safety features. Nissan has also given the highly advanced ABS + EBD + BA system and speed sensing automatic door locks to some of its cars.
