on

Volkswagen India Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group and was established in the year 2007. The body is responsible for manufacturing and assembling of Volkswagen vehicles in the Indian market. Volkswagen has been offering a number of decent cars in the Indian market, some are imported and some are locally assembled. One of the cars in vogue today is Volkswagen Vento, the mid-sized sedan has taken a big share of pie in the market since it was launched first time in 2010. It is basically a sedan version of Volkswagen Polo but difference between the two can be sighted easily.

Ventois available in several variants consisting of both diesel and petrol in the Indian market. The petrol engine is based on supreme DOHC technology with 16 valves and a capacity of 1.6L. The engine generates bashing power of 105PS and 153Nm of torque. The car is coupled with optional 5-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand the diesel variant is powered by 1.6L common rail engine technology churning out 105PS and 250Nm of torque mated with five-speed manual transmission system. In mileage department the petrol variant delivers ARAI certified mileage of 12kmpl/16kmpl, while the diesel one returns good mileage of 15kmpl/20kmpl in cities and highways respectively. As far as competition is concerned, there are plenty but directly Volkswagen Vento sedan competes with Hyundai Verna, Nissan Sunny and Skoda Rapid in the segment.

The exteriors have almost all the features we can expect from the German engineering. The vivid headlights pose a sharp look with indicators lamps condensed in them while the chrome accented front grille looks charming. Similarly the taillights and rear appearance of the car is equally eye catching.

The interior are soothing and mesmerizes senses with genuine leather on the steering wheel and gear knob makes it more delicate. Moreover the unique blend of fabric and leather gives the car exclusive finishing. The contemporary gadgets and instruments are affixed at the dashboard to give pleasure on the go.
