The Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept May Reach Production

on

To celebrate its centenary year, luxury car mogul Bugatti gave us the Bugatti 16C Galibier concept from its headquarters in Molsheim, it made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009. The Bugatti concept seems to be approaching a more solid stance, as the company has just presented it to a select group of people at the prestigious Ace Gallery in Beverly Hills.

Yes, and there are rumors circulating that the Bugatti 16C Galibier concept has received a green light for production in 2013. The specs of this exotic concept car include an 8.0-liter W16 flex-fuel engine featuring twin turbochargers. As it is a concept, Bugatti has not confirmed final horsepower figures at this point. It has the potential to be the fastest luxury sedan in the world, if it does indeed reach production. That fact alone would help catapult the future of the Bugatti marquee in a powerful direction (as if they need any help).

The 16C Galibier concept has been dubbed the “four-door Veyron”, and images of the beauty have become more streamlined as of late, depicting a decidedly more interesting shape. This is one slick and sophisticated car, featuring a spine that runs the length of the car, slightly resembling a fish when viewed from above.

There is a shiny chrome strip for detail that begins at the base of the A-pillar and meanders around the doors, continuing after the front wheels. The grille blends this chrome strip flawlessly. On either side of the grille, the headlights glare like eyes, really exotic and awesome eyes. It is difficult to return the gaze of this Bugatti concept and not instantly find yourself smitten.

Inside, passengers are wrapped into a luxurious four-seat cabin, adorned in tanned leather and sumptuous wood detailing.

And as for extra attention to detail, the Bugatti 16C Galibier happens to come with its own exclusive set of tan leather luggage that matches the interior of the exotic car. Because after all- if you are driving this car, you are likely not going to want the same Louis Vuitton that every other wallet is touting about.
