The Lamborghini Gallardo With New Carbon Fiber Body Kit, COR Wheels, and Engine Tuning

on

The Lamborghini Gallardo has been one of the most successful cars in the history of Lamborghini. The sports car was produced for a number of years and sold more than any other car in the history of the brand. It generated a ton of revenue and allowed the Italian automaker to take some of that capital and reinvest it into their lineup with new technology while establishing themselves as a big player in the supercar game. Although that it has since been replaced by the new Huracn LP610-4, the Gallardo is still an iconic model. One German car tuner decided to give it one last hoorah before it was replaced for good by designing a full aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit, installing lightweight forged COR Wheels, and adding in some engine upgrades to ensure that it was still as impressive as it was the first day it was unveiled years ago.

The first thing that the German aftermarket tuning company decided to focus on was the exterior styling and the aerodynamics of the Lamborghini Gallardo. The Italian supercar was outfitted with a full carbon fiber body kit tested in a wind tunnel to optimize aerodynamics and improve airflow. The kit begins up front with a new extended splitter and two slats that help redirect air while generating downforce. A pair of laterally extended side skirts run between the two sets of COR Wheels and help to calm airflow as it heads towards the rear of the Gallardo. The rear end of the Lamborghini Gallardo features a large adjustable spoiler sitting stop the decklid that generates a massive amount of downforce and a new diffuser with integrated dual exhaust tips for a seamless, aerodynamic and aggressive look.

The chassis was also upgraded by the German aftermarket car tuners to reflect the new, sharp edged and aggressive aerodynamic body kit. The factory rims were replaced with new three piece forged COR Wheels. The new five-spoke, COR Wheels are finished in gunmetal and have black hardware while measuring 20 inches in diameter. The new set of three piece rims wears high performance Pirelli rubber to achieve maximum grip. For a clean stance, the factory suspension was lowered by 15 mm at the front and rear so that the wheels sit snug inside of the fenders.

The last part of the conversion was the engine. The V-10 was equipped with a full titanium exhaust that reduces weight and optimizes backpressure. A new ECU tune allows the engine to compensate for the new exhaust and helps push output even farther.
