This Land Rover Discovery Has New Body Work, Concave Wheels, and More!

on

The Land Rover Discovery is regarded highly as an off road vehicle. This has been true since the vehicle was first introduced by Land Rover. While it does offer luxury amenities, it is more focused on traversing rougher terrain and overcoming that with its superb four wheel drive system and tough chassis. If consumers want a more luxurious vehicle, they’re usually pushed into the Range Rover model lineup. However, sometimes Land Rover Discovery owners are struck with the desire to own something a bit more upscale which is when the aftermarket upgrade companies start to come into play. This Land Rover Discovery was made to order for one client by a British aftermarket design company and was outfitted with new body work, concave wheels, some engine upgrades, and even a refined interior.

The boxy, straightforward exterior design of the Land Rover Discovery leaves something to be desired in some cases. So, the aftermarket British design team installed a new front fascia that features a new grille and black mesh to contrast the white paint of the SUV. The daytime running lights have been repositioned to the front fenders and now sit vertically in a strip of LED lights to add a more commanding presence. The hood was also upgraded to one that features a set of air outlets to help cool the engine bay. Along each side of the Land Rover Discovery sit new concave wheels that are connected by a set of brushed steel steps and sills for that tough, high end look. At the rear of the SUV sits a subtle roof spoiler while the rear bumper features a pair of guards and mud flaps for those times it goes off road.

Elsewhere, the chassis was also upgraded but in this case it was more for the streets instead of the harsh terrain it may encounter. The Land Rover Discovery was given a set of lowering springs that reduce the ride height by 30 mm for a better center of gravity. The factory rims were swapped out for a new set of concave wheels that were installed in a staggered setup for a more aggressive look. At the front, the concave wheels sit in a 9.0 x 19 setup while the rear comes in with an 11.5 x 19 fitment with corresponding Michelin tires. Each wheel also boasts a black finish with the original OEM center caps for a uniform look.

Inside, all of the seats were trimmed in soft black leather with a quilted stitching pattern in white. Even the arm rests and center arm rest were trimmed in the same design. New floor mats, foot pedals, and stainless steel door entry sills decorate the lower part of the SUV. New gauges, clocks, and instrument binnacle add that special touch.
